1. Aasara pensions

Telangana government introduced a new pension scheme called “Aasara” enhancing the monthly pension from Rs 200/- to Rs 1000/- for old age persons, widows, weavers, toddy tappers and AIDS patients and Rs 1500/- for Disabled Persons.
2. Revamping of the public distribution system
87.57 lakhs beneficiaries are found eligible for food security cards and 0.49 lakh beneficiaries are eligible for Antyodaya Anna Yojana(AAY) cards.
3.Supply of rice at 6kg per person
Rice is being supplied to all the eligible families found in the inquiry at 6kg per person at Rs 1 per kg from 1st January 2015. The Antyodaya Anna Yojana(AAY) families will get 35kg per family per month at Rs1 per kg.
4.Land purchase scheme
The government of Telangana has launched a flagship programme of land purchase scheme for the benefit of the poorest of the poor SC women families.
5.Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam
The government decided to sanction a one-time financial assistance of Rs 51,000/- at the time of marriage to each SC/ST girl Under Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam.
6.Shaadi Mubarak
The government introduced the Shaadi Mubarak scheme for minority community unmarried girls. Rs51,000/- will be assisted for minority girls.
7.Telangana drinking water supply project
Telangana drinking water supply project is a flagship programme of the state of Telangana will prove drinking water at the rate of 100lpcd per person to the 319 lakh population in the state living in 25,139 rural habitations and 67 municipal bodies in 9 districts excluding Hyderabad.
8.Scheduled castes development
The scheduled castes population in Telangana is 54,32,680 which is 15.44% of the total population as per 2011 census report. The government allotted 1096 crores in the budget.
9. Ambedkar overseas vidya Nidhi
To help SC students pursue higher education in foreign universities assistance of Rs10 lakhs will be sanctioned to meritorious students.
10. Komaram bheem memorial and tribal museum
Government is construction a komaram bheem memorial and tribal museum at jodeghat village in Adilabad district and developing it as a tribal cultural hub and tourism centre with an estimated cost of Rs25 Crores.
11. Girijan cooperative corporation limited
This Girijan cooperative corporation limited scheme is to development of the following agency tribals
- Honey processing unit at kamareddy- Nizamabad
- Turmeric power unit at Eturnagaram- Warangal
- Soaps production unit Nirmal-Adilabad
- Shampoo manufacturing unit at kondanagula-Mahabubnagar
12.Urdu Academy
The government proposed for construction of facilitation center um Rubaath at Dargah Hazrat Khaja. Moinuddin Chishti Gharib Nawaz(RA) at Ajmer, Rajasthan state with an estimated cost of Rs.5crore.
13. Arogya Laxmi Programme
The programme provides one full meal for pregnant and lactating women. Pregnant and lactating women are provided on a full meal every day in Anganwadi centres. 5,66,917 women have been covered incurring an expenditure of Rs 105.86 crores.
14. Women helpline 24/7
Initiation has been taken up to start integrated women helpline with a view to supporting schemes addressing the issues of violence against women for providing an immediate and 24hours emergency referral to Nirbhaya centre.
15. She-Taxi
The state has constituted a committee for implementation of the She-Taxi scheme. The notification was issued for calling applications from eligible candidates. The state government is providing 35% subsidy on each taxi.
16.Integrated child development services
The ICDS scheme is a single largest centrally sponsored integrated programme to improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age group of 0-6 years and to contribute to their psychological, physical and social development. following services are provided through ICDS.
17.The welfare of disabled and senior citizens
Govt of India enacted the maintenance and welfare of parents and senior citizens Act2007. Appellate tribunals were also constituted in all the 10 districts headed by the district collectors. There are 42 tribunals functioning in the state.
18.Kishori Shakti Yojana
The scheme aims at empowering adolescent girls in the age group of 11-18 years by breaking the inter-cycle of nutritional and gender disadvantages and providing a supportive environment for self-development.
19.Achievements during 2014-15
Govt has launched a special recruitment drive for filling up the backlog vacancies reserved for the disabled. Govt issued enhancing the pension for disabled persons and old age homes from Rs500 to Rs 1500 per month.
