1.First wild life protection act passed in India in  1972
2.Project tiger started in India in 1973
3.Total 45 tiger reserves of India
4.Mangrove conservation program started in 197
5.India board of wild life was setup in 2001 headed by prime minister.
6.Animal welfare board of India- Chennai
7.Project elephant was started in 1992
8.Total 26 elephant reserves have been setup in India
9.Ganga rivers home for dolphins(national Aquatic animal)
10.Odisha coastal area is famous for- Oliveridley turtles.
11.Tamilnadu coastal area is famous for- Hawkasbill turtles
12.World forest area celebrated on- March 21st
13.National environmental day – June 5th
14.In India 81000 species of fauna and 47000 species of flora are found.
